Mi miércoles de divagar terminó en un poster de protesta, aunque no soy diseñador y poco sé de diseñar posters jaja, pero les dejo la licencia CC para que bajen el archivo de Adobe Illustrator (el cuál se ve años nicer que este) y hagan con él lo que les plazca.

Sacado del Myspace de Oasis, Noel nos cuenta una anécdota de su más reciente visita a Chile.

What follows is an actual interview that actually took place. On the phone. Yesterday. Actually.

Journalist: Hello, Noel?
NG: Hello.
Jnlst: Shall we begin?
NG: Vamos!
Jnlst: Ok. Last time you were seen in Santiago with a sex turkey, what happened?
NG: ?? 'Scuse me?
Jnlst: My pardon. What happened with a sex turkey?
NG: I'm sorry, but did you say "a sex turkey"?
Jnlst: Yes. What happened with him?

HIM?? Jesus! Now, I'll freely admit - if pushed - that I've got up to some dubious gear in the past but this guy can't really think I've had full homosexual sex with a man-turkey? Can he?

We continue...

NG: Ok. We seem to have crossed wires here. Shall we just go back to the beginning and start again? Slowly? Yes?
Jnlst: As you wish.
NG: Ok. Fire at will.
Jnlst: Sorry?
NG: Never mind, just get on with it!
Jnlst: Ok. Can you explain what it was like in Santiago with a sex turkey and how it compares with Chris Sharrock?

Now, I'm thinking, this is either a live radio comedy stunt thing or someone put acid in my tea.. unless...

NG: When you say a sex turkey, do you mean ZAK STARKEY?
Jnlst: Of course.

SEX TURKEY!

NG: Aah, Zak Starkey? You mean Zak Starkey?
Jnlst: Of course. What did you think I meant?
NG: Ha! Fuck, Zak Starkey! I thought you meant that I'd had..oh, never mind. I think we have to wrap this up.
Jnlst: But you never answer my question!!
NG: They're both the same. I need to lie down. Goodbye.

When the agency came to us with the idea to show the increase of money on the international market in connection with some kind of sexual relation, we were very enthusiastic. No doubt, we had to do this!

The goal was to create a world completely made out of banknotes and explicit characters that stood for themselves. So we spent many days and nights doing a lot of research finding the right objects such as furniture, buildings, bridges, certain landscapes, clothes, etc.

This procedure was followed by style frames in 2D to evoke the right feeling, tone and look for the film while having a special origami look in the back of our minds. After we were done creating rough animatics, we could start to fine tune our characters, as well as the different scenarios of the spot. Our final task was to blend all the scenes, camera tracks and sounds together.

All characters (Lincoln, Mao and the unknown lady) were created as 3D characters in Softimage XSI. Therefore, our designing team engaged in a lot of origami studying. To get used to the technique, we spent a lot of time with uncountable folding sessions. We took dollar and pound notes and folded Origami figures until our hands bled.

Then we were able to start with the digital modeling. Each character received an individual animation rig. With this digital skeleton we defined positions, rotations as well as the movements of the particulars.

Dirigido por Ceri Levy, este documental está subido a la red para que todos ustedes lo puedan apreciar, gratuita y legalmente. Muestra el trabajo detrás de la banda Gorillaz desde que Damon Albarn y Jamie Hewlett estaban viendo la tele y tuvieron la idea de una banda animada. Está muy bueno encontrar cómo fue manejado el concepto durante los 7 años de documentación audiovisual, además la música está bien buena y se observa la industria musical inglesa y gringa desde su punto de vista, los éxitos y los fracasos, las quejas y los beneficios. Pueden ver la película completa AQUÍ. Al principio se ve que se la pasaron hasta la madre (risas).

" No disrespect to Pink Floyd, but you know, we've got tunes " Damon Albarn al ser entrevistado como a dos tercios de la película después de que ya lo vimos vomitar y cagando.

Les dejo el Trailer por si no quieren ver toda la peli y creen que con minuto y medio pueden sustituir a hora y media que pretende representar a 7 años. Bikes!

Otra canción para este sábado pandémico, te hace extrañar aún más la fiesta, pero está bien, ya habrá fiestas donde terminaremos bien trasheados y seremos jóvenes y enamorados. Es el nuevo proyecto conjunto de los productores Diplo y Switch. Aquí la historia: Diplo fue a Jamaica, le pasó unos beats a Switch, dijeron vamos a hacer un disco con lo que nos lata del dancehall music (un tipo de reggae propio de nombres como Yellowman, Super Cat, Cutty Ranks y Barrington Levy... dice wikipedia), lo sacamos al mundo y hacemos mucho dinero con música que existe desde hace mucho pero la gente desconoce por cerrarse en escuchar lo que ponen en la radio. Así nació Major Lazer.
